Magic Kingdom is a playground for unschoolers like us! There is a lot of History to be learned at Magic Kingdom about our Great Nation. We are that family that doesn't necessarily have to ride all the rides while at Disney World. Instead we like to slow it down and enjoy our sites. Hall of Presidents is one of our favorite shows because it takes you back through the history of all of our Presidents thus far and how they came to be who they were and are. All the while walking through the story of The Swiss Family Treehouse, which is a piece of the story The Swiss Family Robinson, published for the first time in 1812. Or places in the park like Tom Sawyer Island. Where there is tons of adventure with narrow passages amid secret mined caves and bridges made of floating logs. This Island follows Mark Twain and Tom Sawyer as they reflected a new nation coming into its own. A little Disney Magic makes learning fun and puts knowledge at our fingertips. Children will learn and retain information best if they enjoy it too.
Stay tuned for some Epcot fun...
